Entire Hull is indeed a type IX (and the cfg file says that if it were playable, the interior would be as well) the distinguishing mark that makes it
Japanese for me, is at the forward base of the conning tower. Maybe not an actual and fully modded version of a Jap sub, but a Jap sub none the less.
I'll take it. The point of the thread was that they are out there and sinkable. I also noted that the sub was at battle stations when I first detected it. I wonder if it would have attacked had it detected me, before I detected it. That would have been an unpleasant ending to the patrol.
