Not neccecerily...

Tony Blair (hardly my favourate person) had never learnt how to text, or use a computer to send an email when he left office.

A relative of mine only used a graphical operating system for the first time last month. Wouldn't know one end of a MS Word from the other end of Open Office. But a) They are rather radical in their politics and b) in the early 70's, they were operating those computers that took up whole rooms.

McCain has been a legislater since 1983 - that would have been the last time he would have had to have typed a substantual document himself. In those days, computers were for geeks, scientists and secretaries, so theres a 50/50 chance then he would have used a typewriter.

Point is. Being brought up IT literate is more of a privilage then most under 30's realise. I'm not worried if McCain can't use a computer... indicates he had more important things to do.
