A second take on it:

There is a lot more to the story, but the media here will slant it against the police anytime they can. Ms. Jackson is not a certified nurse in the state of Illinois. 2nd a witness gave a hand written and recanted later in court. It was also this same witness who observed the disarming of the unconcious officer and observed him passing the duty weapon to another that led to those two taken into custody and the weapon being recovered, rather then it being used later to harm an individual. The neighborhood is called Engelwood, try a search using that and violent crime. Might be enlightening.

My only parting thought for all is this: you see two people that were involved in a really bad car crash, one is alive but out completely, the other is dazed but concious. Would you attempt to assist the one who has no way of helping you get them out of the car first? Or the other that may be able to assist you in their rescue???? Think long and hard on this one.
