Never happened to me before.

Found an "S" class sub cruising on the surface. Could not find it in the ID books so I did not know what to use for the height.

Charged up to it and got a good hit with my deck gun. I got credit for the kill but the sub would not sink. Stood around for a long time pumping rounds into the sub but no sinking.

is this normal for an enemy sub?

How do you set up a torpedo shot on a surfaced sub? How do you calculate range?
