I'm an atheist, but
Zeitgeist was, to be frank, a horrible movie. The editing, the accuracy, the presentation, everything. It didn't even have a proper introduction, so I had to watch it for 30 minutes before figuring out what it was even about.
Listing the gods of the world was a nice effect, though, and yes, there
are quite a few religious views out there. An infinity in fact, since there's an infinite number of ways to look at the universe, gods, origins, life before and/or after death, etc.

Right, the old "the only atheist countries out there have been communist dictatorships"-lie

. Ask your pastor about Scandinavia, Iceland, Canada and Japan some day. All are democracies, all are high on the HDI, all are doing well economically.
Atheism isn't the death sentence the fundamentalists make it out to be. Don't fall for such rubbish.

Even mild mannered Atheists will be offended by that nonsense!

Actually, you're right. I wasn't offended as such, but I felt he was unnecessarily obnoxious. Sure, you can make jokes about religious stories the way you can make jokes and parodies about any story, but... that was just childish.
