I think it is good idea you can choose witch sight you are & Start on the Field or already in the Air & fly in the difrent areas & when you find a target you can try to bomb it or if you are japanese sight you get more medals even if you die in the Kamekaze attack. the Plane could fly with joustic what they use in Microsoft Simulator.

or if only there is a way to make mod for the Enemy Planes trying to hit you Submarine or your ship (& that mod is only for Japanese planes)
