Default A simple question on bearing

I have a question, that's been nagging me lately. And, i'm prepared for some of my fellow kaleuns to laugh at the lunacy of it

Although i'm getting the majority of my torpedos hitting the targets from the manual solution, I want to be SURE i'm reading the right dial. lol.

So, i've taken a screenie and drawn two respective arrows. Now, when you are doing a manual target soltution and you input the bearing, lets say the target is 45 degrees on your bow, when you guys put the bearing in, do you use the corresponding BEARING dial, or read the bearing from the GYROANGLE dial?

Because i've noticed the Gyroangle dial always points dead on whatever bearing i choose, and in the past....i've been reading from that dial. Is it the right one I should be looking at?
