I've encountered the "rain drops falling through concrete" issue many times. I asked some fairly knowledgeable people on this forum once about it & they said that it's a problem that can't be fixed. Apparently it's got something to do with SH III & CPU cycles: pretty technical stuff that I'm not familiar with.
I've never seen gulls flying through the walls but I'm sure that it happens. It's probably the same thing as the rain "bug"; something that we just have to live with. I used to practise my marksmanship by turning my flak gun(s) on them. Gave that up as it was just wasting ammunition and you can't shoot them down anyway; I hate seagulls!
A little off topic but did anyone ever develop a "realistic" looking bird poop mod? As we all know, where there are lots of gulls there'll be lots of sh*t.
