I was like you, happy with 1.4, but saw a pattern shift in the mods favoring 1.5 and upgraded. I have NO INTEREST in the U-Boat missions - none - in fact I have not played it yet - have no desire to.
The Upgrade for $10 bucks was worth it. Nice new "stuff" in 1.5 except for the CO2 bug. Been a victum of it twice - Even though you are surfaced, you run out of oxygen - seems the game forgets you are surfaced and can not replenish O2 - just a gut feeling and educated guess work at my end.
Adopted the OLD way of saving the game - save ONLY while surfaced. Have not hit the CO2 bug since then, so far.
Also, about 3-4 weeks ago, FINALLY, taught myself MANUAL targeting. What a blast of fun!
Yesterday, hit a fishing boat with a torp. - via manual targeting and laughed when the hit occurred and the twin-sail boat went shooting about 150 feet in the air when it got hit - should have done a screen shot or recorded - DARN!.
