A quick look at the Data\Cfg\Contacts file shows:
Short=1000 ;[m]
Medium=8000 ;[m]
Long=16000 ;[m]
I'm using the 16km mod.
Oddly, the stock ranges are:
Short=1000 ;[m]
Medium=3000 ;[m]
Long=20000 ;[m]
