And what I especially do not like: if an OS consumes such a ridiculous ammount of system ressources and behaves as if it is the acutal application you want to run. An Os should be as small and less hardware depending as possible. It is just the empty screen - onto which the actual movie (software) you are interested in is projected. Vista engineers seem to think their OS is the star of the show, with plenty of behavior like a neurotic primaballerina.
If their next OS is like this in it's basic philosphy, I will try to skip that one, too. Make it small, make it solid, make it tight, reliable, practical and secure - and as less hardware-consuming as possible and not the other way around
. Laser-light-shows and glass surfaces are not wanted over here.
