After all the frustration of the last raid that would've been perfect waited a bit to calm down and go again. This time got total vindication:
The weather for the whole week of my patrol was absolutely perfect, always rainy with moderate to heavy winds. Had quite a few DD's self destruct with shallow water DC's too close to their stern. Got lucky and sacked the flat top that was transferred there and 86'd her before she left for Alexandria. Took nearly 8 hours, and lots of caffeine to finally erase the memory of that aweful trick they played on me transporting my boat into solid rock
