I still don't see the problem with someone being a member of a church and not agreeing with what some radical pastor says.
There is so much more to a church than just one man's sermons.
People are overlooking the possibility that Senator Obama's membership in this church was simply a political move (check the "religion" box for the voters). This is what politicians do.
We have to remember that McCain, Clinton, and Obama are all scumbag politicians. They work consistently on their "image". They will falsely represent themselves in what ever manner they can in order to impress the foolish voters.
In Obama's case, he was using the church to garner the "black" vote. Unfortunately Wright also has his agenda and the plan backfired on Obama.
Nothing new or even newsworthy. Just people with agendas (Obama and Wright) that happen to be in conflict. One hopes that Obama will choose wisely his political backdrops.
In any case, since I know that all three candidates are scumbag politicians who lie, I can't get worked up over this incident.
I don't vote for the candidate with the perfect advertising gimmick, I vote for the person I feel can work best with congress (another bunch of like-minded scumbag politicians), in hopes that between their dishonourable dealings, they might, just might, make one of two correct decisions for my country.
A bit cynical, but in America, with age comes cynicism.
