I totally agree with this statement.
About the closed thread you are mentioning:
1: The thread has fulfilled its mission as far as it could.
2: The thread is from 2006
When the thread was resurrected at post #12, the poster commented about the singer beeing or not beeing a porn star.. That has, IMHO, nothing to do with the original topic of the thread, and is not a reason to bring this back to life, since it has no relevance. (Just my 2 cents)
