Having been convicted of the charges, Snipes is put on a prison jet for the transfer to a maximum security prison.
On route the jet will crash and Mr Snipes escapes hence becoming a fugitive.
US Marshal Samuel Gerard arrives on the scene with his team of deputies and hunts Snipes down.
In the end Snipes is caught but proves his innocence as a man who had been set up by some drugged up and now rehabbed actor by the name of Robert Downey Jnr.
Last scene sees US Marshal Gerard and Snipes share a laugh and drive off into the sunset. Everybody lives happily ever after except the US Government who never recovered the $15 million.
