Okay, there are realistic star constallations to look at. But when you try to take it further, the realism ends very soon. I mean the projection of the world onto the SH3 map for example. Otherwise those stars could be even more useful and not just eyecandy
Yes, we can't navigate in the same way ingame that they would have in real life, using a sextant, compass, etc. I'm okay with that as I would prefer my course plotting not to be a 30 minute exercise. As it is, its point and click. I like point and click with navigation, its a decision the devs made to sacrifice realism for gameplay ability. I like the choice.
