They had been around for a while as experimental, the FAA dragging their feet
on this issue because of all those crazy drivers wanting one, making the skies
above a much more dangerous place to be. Imagine this going on in Miami??
Besides, I've had one for years now:
Hit's MACH 2.5 if you're about 500 above sea level, but even so, it's pretty
good on gas. It's a bitch trying to land it, though.
