Is it me or is it virtually impossible to shoot planes down with AA fire either manual or with the AI in "ASW_8.0_STANDARD_1.5".

I have repeatedly expended ALL of my AA ammo on just one plane, multiple times, at close range and scoring multiple hits and all the planes ever do is continue to fly around "burning" never getting shot down.

Is this a feature of "ASW_8.0_STANDARD_1.5".

If so how do I make the planes slightly more destructable/fragile without reverting them to the wimpy "stock game" levels?
