Even though adding qualifications to seamen (or adding multiple qualifications to petty officer's) has no effect, I still like the idea that you are able to do so. When sailors get three stripes I generally add a qualification to them as to indirectly assign them to an area so they don't get lost in the shuffle.
Adding extra's to the petty officer's I treat as kind of an indirect promotion/status relative to others on the boat. While there might be multiple CPO's on the boat, I always make sure that there is a "Chief" of the boat that is recognized by having 3 qualifications to help single him out in addition to his experience. |
