but to do him justice, some of the films he made were really good. Especially "The Big Country" with Gregory Peck, Jean Simmons and Burl Ives is one of my most favourite of the old western movies ever.
I was thinking just the same thing while watching the item bout his death on the news tonight.

Its a shame but I think he will be remembered by many for his NRA and political associations first and his acting second.

There as a good Heston film on UK tv not so long ago, Khartoum. Great film about general Gordon with Heston as Gordon and Lawrence Olivier haming it up as the Mahdi, brilliant! The climatic scene where Gordon is killed has always stayed with me.
