1) Is it correct that the Radar doesnt work unless your on the surface?

2)Sonar only works on one vessel at a time? So if I search out a ship its possible to have a destroyer come up from behind me and never see it when using sonar?

3) Sonar have any depth limitations?

4) When trying to adjust the angle on Bow in noob settings it doesnt seem to work I have to go to manual settings and then the adjustment does work

5) My biggest problem is not fully understanding the angles while in beginner mode and the headings themselves I see in the direction the dot moves in but thats all

I need to be able to draw up a plan better understanding how to line myself up at 90 degrees from my target.

Any light on these things would be great
1) Yes, you must be on the surface for your radar to work. There is a "radar depth", you get that by pressing the ; but part of your sub will be exposed.

2) Sonar is a listening device and can hear everything that is around it as long as it is under power and not just sitting still. Your sonar man will tell you the contacts.

3) No. In real life, sonar performs better when deeper but I dont think it is modeled in the game. It will also work on the surface but it works to good in the game if your playing vanilla.

4) If your playing auto-targeting, it sets the angle of the bow. If your playing manual, the videos can explain that better than I can.

5) I don't know if you watched Legions noob guide but it is really helpful to a new player about setting up your shot. It is here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=111445
