If you can see the smoke trails you'll probably know the speed of the ship with experience. compare it with the Ship identifier for max speed. Use your wolfy instincts. :p. 100 Meters = 1 degree of angle lead to fire(roughly). Of course this is my method of firing within 500 (Estimated)Meters.
