This is still risky, but if you want to play with a DD, dive while running away and keep ypour scope up long enough for the DD to bear down on it. At a full bell you'll kick up a pretty good scope wake and make plenty of noise so it can track you as easily as if you're on the surface. Are you playing stock or usig a mod like TMO?
At least this way you are running away and already submerged.
Playing with a DD is like playing with a tiger. Sooner or later the tiger gets a good bite in.
