I think they (mods) should remain silent and let their actions do the talking.
I agree we should be more helpful to the mods and I think in many ways we are ...

We should also be kind to the newbies, before Sailor Steve gets hold of them on their spelling and grammer ... just kidding.

The Navy had a way of taking care of the weaker sailors, especially on submarines, just make fun of them till they change.

But that was in person, not a message board where people are even more easily offended ...

Lets try not to cause a grudge that sticks in people's backs till they explode ... I've seen that happen before.

One guy on the USS Ethan Allen had a girlfriends picture on the wall of his bunk, like many sailors do ...

He use to brag about her and talk about her even though she was not that attractive.

One of the sonarman had to wake this guy up for his watch and noticed the picture of the girl he had always been bragging about.

The sonar tech gently lifts the picture and frames it with a toilet seat that he found in the supply cache between the missile tubes.

He then hangs the picture in sonar and waits for the poor unsuspecting sailor to come through the door.

SSBN's had their own sonar room in those days ...

The guy comes in see's the picture and explodes ... real anger too.

The two sonar tech's got seperated and never made another patrol together again.

You got to learn how to handle yourself, roll with the punches ... what better place than a submarine or a subsim forum to do it in?

A foxhole would be too late with the other man having a weapon too ... that would be scary.
