I agree ... I have Vista Home Premium on a Dell lap top and a desktop PC Intell 2.1 duo core cpu, Asus P5B motherboard, Ati 2600HD heatpipe video, 2GB ram, SATA 120GB hdd ... runs great.
Plays all games great, no problems excpet it did spit at my old USB burner, but for $25 I bought one it liked.
Don't let your hatred for microsoft spoil your fun ...
for under two hundred dollars you can get Vista and a new hard drive and have fun too.
