Run HijackThis and put a check by the following entries, close all open windows and browsers and click 'Fix Checked'

Go to 'add/remove programs' and uninstall all versions of 'Java'.Then go and install the newest version.
Purge the restore folder by doing the following.
Go to 'Control Panel/ System/System Restore' and check the box ' Turn off system restore on all drives' click 'apply' and 'okay'.Reboot your computer and then enable system restore again and create a 'New Restore Point' by going to 'Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore'.
I also agree that Teatimer is taking something also. I would go to all of your settings and disable your updates if you don't care about them that much. You could always search for them yourself. On that note, it might be Java attempting to get a new update, so hopefully my fix will help you.
