I was trying to solve a graphics problem in sh4 1.5 using a .dll dependancy checker to solve what I thought was a .dll version issue... SH4 has a HUGE number of .dll dependancies... and THIS popped up...

If the application won't start although you have already closed/deactivated all debugging tools, please send a SecuROM™ analysis file to support@securom.com (see Support Info section on how to prepare and send an analysis file).

The add-on uses one part of SecuRom.- SecuRom has one component for online activation.
The add-on makes use of this component and only for the download version (which seems to be the only version of the add-on that is being sold at the moment).
When activating, SecuRom accesses a server to check if the activation is correct.
After the activation, the SecuRom module will not access any server, ever.
- SecuRom has one component for disk checking when starting the game. The add-on doesn't use this component.

So much for "we just used a part of SecuROM to validate your installation"... If that is true, and the SecuROM code integrated into sh4 is non-intrusive, why did this happen?
It also explains why, in part, the sh4.exe file went from 1.95G to 6.64G in size. A large portion of the new code is for SecuROM...
