As everyone has said,fix up the boat and then go back to silent running,don't forget to go to ahead flank when he drops cans on you,he is deaf when they are going off and this buys you some time to gain some space and gain a new position,try to head for where the water is indicated deepest,he can't hear you sonar bounce the bottom,so go looking for every meter of extra depth
best of luck,its do-able but your going to have to be so cunning they could stick a tail on you and call you a fox
