Yes, but no You can keep the same angle and change the max value from 260 to 300 and it will work. But then you need to redraw the marks on the gauge. You sure can raise the max angle of the needles but if it doesn't work you should try to change the depth value first and then see the angle
If I change the maximum depth and dont change the needle maximum angle, it will indicate 300 meters and show 260 on the gauge. If I redraw the gauge, theres no historical accuracy, coz what really happens is that the needle could go past 260 meters, without any indication past that. And if you use shift+f2 and get close enough, youll see that 260 meters are actually 258 meters on the gauge, that is something that should be fixed too.

If I manage to pull this off, I'll release a mod.
