Then, my friend, like all of us ATI users, you can't get a decent sun halo.
It's an ATI issue. However, apparently, the latest high end ATI cards do display it correctly.
However, I can usually get decent halo effects when in any view other than the Periscope/OBS/UZO. It's just not as good as it could be.
