They're limited to visual detection right?
Will they attack you if they spot your periscope?

PT boats can sometimes depth-charge the player sub if the NYGM mod is used or they can attack the player sub with 'virtual' torpedoes and maybe hedgehogs if my PT-boats mod is used. Otherwise it is only gun firing.
