i don't know if it's 50%, but i do know a neurosurgeon who wanted to patent a device sort of like a mouthguard/biteblock but with a hole for the barrel of a gun so the bullet would blow out your brainstem and guarantee death. he was tired of dealing with people that had tried to shoot themselves dead but instead survived as vegetables.
