at the cost of £135.50 for a colour tv license I always used to laugh and make a joke about the concessions for disabled people as follows:

If you're normal you pay the full amount, if you're blind you still have to pay half, and if you're deaf you have to pay extra! :rotfl:

If you buy a new TV from a shop, they will give your details to the TvLicensing people who will send you a reminder. Sucks tbh when all the fee really pays for is the BBC channels, and whilst I say 'good show' to anything with David Attenborough in it, most of the other stuff is rubbish.
You can have a TV and not pay a license fee but you must prove to an inspector that the TV is not capable of receiving a television signal... wierd eh?
