#1. The watch officer being lazy usually will not bother you as much as the sonarman that doesn't hear the DD right next to your boat or the flak gunner that just sits and watches the Hurricanes blast you to oblivion. A little more clicking work, thats it.
#2. The Grey Wolves eXpansion mod is a tweaked version of the game, aimed to be more challenging by giving you tougher opposition and supposedly more realistic behavior from the AI. The transition from stock game might be steep and you ll probably be overwhelmed by the changes, especially in the aggresiveness and ability of the AI to nail you. If you like adrenaline rush then you ll love it. If you decide that you don't agree with that level of difficulty as being realistic then you can pick the parts of GWX that you like installed and leave the rest, or you can put it aside all together. Your choice. You ll still be welcome here anyway...
