There is a script for all this, but again I can't really see how this could be tweaked to relate to the actual rank.

If someone would like to have a look, its in:

CrewMembers3D.upc
I figured it out, and it works!

First off what you have to do is create a new section in CrewMembers3D.upc. What I did was first was I copied and pasted [CrewMember3D 3] and re-named it [CrewMember3D 7]. I then changed the ID to ClothingOfficersLT. I then deleted any lines that referenced bust_od03.tga, since with CaptainCox's mod this referenced the Ensign uniform shirt.

Secondly, I opened up Ranks.upc, navigated to the Lieutenant rank and changed the 3DClothingIDLink to ClothingOfficersLT. Saved changes, and you're all done. Tested it out, and it works without any problems.

Oh yeah, and I also deleted any reference to the CPO wearing the offficer's cap.

All of this works just fine. I'd do the Lieutenant JG rank, but I don't think CaptainCox ever made a shirt for this rank (might have to check) and I know he never did one for CPO.

All of this makes me wonder why the devs couldn't do it in the first place. It's not like it was that difficult to do...
