I don't like to judge other peoples religions. However, that burka thing is just down right insulting to my british sensibilities. I live in a culture where women are regarded as equals, imo this item of clothing simply reduces women to the level of someone's property. I don't know anything about Islam and I don't understand the significance of the burka within this religion, as far as I am concerned it simply is a tool for simple minded men to impose their will over women.
I opologise if I have offended anyone. But, if I traveled to a muslim country I would be expected to respect their customs and beliefs and not to impose my own. Why is it that fundamentalists can come to the UK and play hell when they are expected to follow our rules and incite civil unrest outside their mosque eg Mr hook handed Hamza and the government fails to act. I know they finally arrested him took em long enough, but he is just one out of an awful lot of these nutters.
