Problems of SH4 are not that there are Pacific and US boats. It's profitable and prooved thematics for a subsim. For me main problems are: very bad interface decision (removing officers is the main mistake), no 3d-view clickable dials (and moving through officer's places), nothing especially new compared to SH3, only graphics and few features. FPS is slowed down in 3-4 times comparing to SH3, but I cannot say that graphics is improved in 3-4 times also. Sometimes sea in SH3 (especially with mods) looks much more realistic than in SH4.
Also (you know) bugs everywhere (i like this falling out eyes in the night and turm side, closing view in Flak gun station), improperly working sensors, sounds and names from Sh3 (unterseebootzieloptik rulez), fakes (like Bold on US boats) and campaign (Japan didn't ever built even 10% of warships I have sunk for my last career in SH4).
All already know this, and this are not the only problems of SH4. SH4 is a good sub-sim game, interesting and playable, but not the best-subsim-ever. Best subsim ever for me is SH3+GWX+some other great mods.
