Not knowing what you did I could not suggest anything, and certainly nothing rings a bell, however I do recall a SH4 mod for getting rid of the waterline around the boat, this
may be worth pursuing, sorry I cant be of any more help, another option is to go back to a previous version then re-tweak that.
