Open campaign is still the way to keep longevity in a simulation or to even call it a simulation.

Man I remember some talk in the community (over at the Ubi - IL-2 boards) where people would have loved to combine something like SH4 and IL-2. At least it would mean more historically accurate aircraft instead of the Lancaster Bombers with US markings :hmm:
But again yes-- cold war would be more missles and tactical variety and it'd be great
