The first operation the
Yamato participated in was Midway. So roughly from May or June 1942 on. Realistically, encounters should be rare. There were only two built,
Yamato and
Musashi, and due to their high fuel consumption they spent a lot of time at anchor acting as headquarter ships. However, they are featured
prominently in some of the single mission scenarios.
