No, BVR kills are marked as grey AND you still get the tonnage credit in your log. Unless they changed it in GWX2.
Sorry I was not clear, I was responding directly to Thaum's OP, where he said he got a grey icon but no credit.
Yeah, it does seem to happen from time-to-time that a grey icon won't give you credit.

Reminds me of a time when I thought I had the perfect method for sneaking thru the channel. I was cruising past the heavily patrolled entrance right under a loud-prop French fishing trawler. It was the perfect plan ...until the stupid thing sank on top of me due to wave action. I noticed the grey sunken ship suddenly appeared on the map right on top of me, and I had to go see what happened.
