I didn't want to be presumptuous and start my own welcome thread
...but hello to you all from another noober here. I played SH3 casually and loved it, but I'm playing SH4 in much longer bursts than I ever had it's predecessor. I play with most of the noobie settings on (sensors, unlimited fuel, auto-calc firing solutions), but I'm hoping to gradually wean myself of those as I get my basic ship-captaining skills down (like making people get me coffee). You guys seem to be a really helpful bunch and you also seem to know what you're talking about historywise. The history is why I stick to WWII themed games (I'm also delving into the IL-2 universe pretty hardcore). It's nice to be on a gaming forum that has intelligent history buffs on it and isn't full of leetspeak for a change.
