Do you have any idea how many times I've had to explain to people that human beings can survive in a vacuum for a short period of time?

The catch to surviving in a vacume (For that 15 secconds or so) is to empty your lungs completely of air before the vacume hits you. Otherwise, the gas will expand inside you and make you explode.
