On a serious note, I find this place refreshing. I've been on sites where they don't get my really dry humor and I know I can be a handful. Great set of submariners here. So, Mr. Peabody grab a seat and enjoy the ride. If it's one thing that separates a submariner from an aviator is- PATIENCE!

I have a question for you, since this sim is based in the Pacific in the war against Japan maybe you can help me out: Why did Kamikaze pilots wear helments? Isn't that a waste of money?
I think the patience is the one thing I am going to have to get used to. I am used to flying long distances for missions, but not at 15 knots

And when I would fly a night mission and watch two SA-10s lift off (They are surface to air missiles for those who don't know) and they have a range of about 100 Km, very fast, you can't outrun them so it is over in seconds. It will be a big change to hide from a destroyer quietly for a long time, cause I am used to it being over in seconds one way or the other.
Either I evade the missles or I hit the silk. Oh, BTW, do these subs come with parachutes?
I just checked UPS and my Sub is "Out for Delivery" should be here this afternoon. (I sure hope they remembered to install the screen door I asked for!)
Well, Thank you all for the nice welcomes!! I agree with DJFL it IS refreshing to see a forum where people get along and are helpful, I am so used to seeing noobs ask question and get 10 of the same answers..."READ THE MANUAL"
I have to go, I see I am not a "Bilge Rat" anymore, so I have to go redo all my t-shirts and uniforms and change them to "NUB".
