i have a question. What sources is this mod based on?

I mean i feel like it cuts out to much traffic. Ive played two campaigns and both ended by me geting kicked out of the navy for making no kills.

I mean i can go surfaced to tokio without ever seeing the enemy. I dont think this is realistic. From what i have been reading is that japs were very good at defending their homewaters. It was in 1944 when an US submarine was first time able to sneak through defence into japenese sea and found traffic like during peace time. They felt save and even used to have lights on.
