Are you XP or VISTA?
In this instance, I would advise you to check the status of the GWX files you downloaded.
Visit this page -
http://gwx.mysite.orange.co.uk/FAQ.html - and follow the instructions for using MD5 Mate.
If your GWX files are OK, you need to look at the SH3 1.4b Installation to see if you removed EVERY trace of it during the uninstall.
