I am not sure you should defer. It is a sim with the goal of entertainment (as opposed to training or other goal that demands accuracy). Perception is reality and since I suspect for a lot if not most of the players the perception is formed by movie and TV. So if darker provides more "reality" for the majority go with that. I have been aboard, albeit in 1971 on a Guppy II conversion. For me lighter recreates what I recall but that doesn't mean that is the way it was during the war. On the Guppy there was a great deal of flouresent lighting that I am not sure was original. Likewise I am sure the tour boats have been relit for safety. Nuc
I was thinking about that ( "refit for safety" reasons nowadays - for the boat tours) however I don't believe they had the darker - equivalent of three 15 watt bulbs - interior during the War either. Also, it may be difficult to read the new gauges he has worked so hard on. lol
