I started to play this Super Mod last night in earnest to really see what is has for me.
I installed TM then the ROW Mods, deliberately omitting RSRDC for TM. Started off a career campaign and...ok, so the stock campaign is intact, that's sucks! So I went back and installed RSRDC for TM and all's well. Although I miss the new types of messages which I found cool. Anyway sailing for Indochina coast and no traffic at all. Then I hit the dreaded tidal waves again. But this time ROW Pitch and Roll was uninstalled and the waves are not so violent on the boat. In fact it's too smooth a ride now (hopefully this will be addressed by another mod). Managed to find a Small Merchant and went to periscope depth. Knowing how such a great subber I am I missed with nearly every single one I sent out!
Had to resort to deckkie gun. Just 4 shots and I'm done. Enemy sinking looking great thanks to Leovampire Special Effects mod!
I had installed the 25sec reload deck gun mod but for some reason it's not working and firing faster than I can think (erm, that didn't come out right
). I like the interior of the Porpoise sub. The poster girl is a nice touch, which brings me to,....erm, that's for another site.
Really like the added names on the Nav Map- Great work! A patrol plane went looking for me after sinking the merchant but of course he can't see me 120 feet below the surface...or can he?:hmm: TM isn't bad at all. Just comes down to taste. I'm a gunner for realism but every now and then I like some fun. What can I say? I'm a grumpy old Gremlin.
One thing I miss about the whole thing is the two omitted cameras. Try as I may and following the FAQ/Readme the cameras can't seem to be enabled. I like to watch from different angles, particularly during mission building.
