I know a gym teacher who used to do the same. He was very "friendly" to the girls, picked the smaller ones on the lap, invented some jokes which involved contact with the older ones, etc.
Well, the sub teacher, who was after his job, decided to report him as a pedophile, and the school, deciding to play safe, fired the guy, hiring the sub in his place.
So before you report him, if you do, offer yourself as a sub teacher first, and then report.
