Which conning tower are you using? IX/2 or IX/3.
I'm about to leave Penang now and will want to test this issue. I have never had my DG fire at any aircraft. The only DG that does do that is the Single/Twin deck mounted ack ack when you use the IX/2 tower config.
Anyway, I'm deliberately looking for aircraft in 1944.....
